The Bride’s Wedding Adventure

This is a post written by a Bride I recently photographed her Bridal session and wedding couple session. Her Bridal makeup was done by Irina Borodina, a Houston Bridal makeup artist and hair artist. Please read her account:

“I had an amazing experience doing a Bridal session with David Baker, Owner and Lead photographer for David Baker Studios, LLC.

Why amazing?

David is very professional. He will give you peace-of-mind throughout the entire process; from consultation, during Wedding Bridal session, and when delivering album and wall art enlargements. He pays attention to details, personably and patiently directed me during my Bridal session inside The Astorian wedding venue. My pictures look comfortable and relaxed.

I love The Astorian because of its chic-industrial, New York style, and 1920’s Art Deco and warehouse design themes. I knew the Astorian would be a pricier investment than the normal, cheaper wedding venues. I personally prefer to invest in things that resonate with my style. I happily paid that higher price knowing David Baker would create custom, unique, and one-of-a-kind pictures and heirlooms that would be  memorable, romantic, editorial, classic, and timeless. David Baker Studios it’s also priced more than the average Houston wedding photography studio. I knew this. But, he is a wonderful person who has invested his career into mastering his craft, professional Wedding photography. I knew that he is not like other photographers in Houston because he deeply cares about serving his Bride. Because of this, he has invested years into his own training with lighting, posing, and photographing. Other photographers do not do this. What price can you put on pictures were created by a professional wedding photographer whose style is similar to Vanity Fair magazine (which I love!) and pictures that will last forever, identify with my unique style (Louis Vuitton, Badgley Mischka shoes, and Kleinfeld Bridal wedding dress), and will be shared with my children one day and their children?

For many brides to take pictures is a very stressful process.  Every bride thinks how she looks, how to pose, how her dress and flowers look, and, of course, how she and her fiancé look together. To photograph two people is not easy.  Both bride and groom should have good poses. Light should be perfect. David patently and comfortably guided me through natural poses that didn’t feel like poses. He is such a talented photographer who knows how to work with natural light and with professional lights in darker and difficult to photograph inside venues like The Astorian and brighter venues like The Corinthian and River Oaks County Club.

I can tell you for sure - pictures with David are my favorite!

What was even more important for me is how comfortable David is to be guided by.  The professional from “how to be fully prepared for the Bridal session” to “absolutely amazing edited pictures”. I was comfortable in my session and it was so much fun! My Bridal Pictures came out beautiful! I could not wish more. 

David works with luxury brands. He is familiar working with various high level dress designers, planners, venues, etc.

When I have a chance to recommend a Bride for her Bridal pictures at her venue or a couple for their wedding. I will tell them to go to David Baker, owner of David Baker Studios - no doubts!
